Many APs preach that the book “Beyond Counting” by James Grosjean contains everything you need if you just know how to find it. They say that you must simply “read everything.” Mississippi Stud (MS) is a good example.

The “21 + 3” blackjack side bet is based on examining the player’s two cards and the dealer’s up-card. If the three cards form a flush, straight, three-of-a-kind or straight flush, the player wins.

During a recent trip to Las Vegas, I saw a new (to me) blackjack side bet in a downtown casino called Golden 21 (G21). What struck me as immediately suspect were events listed in the pay table corresponding to the player getting an unsuited blackjack, a suited blackjack or a suited A/K.
